V tomhle bych souhlasil s AlesH, boostback je nutný při návratu na pevninu, nebo pro přesné navedení na ASDS. A SpaceX už ukázala že dokáže trefit ASDS i bez boostbacku, proto by ho mohli vynechat a začít dříve s delším reentry burnem. Mimochodem, pro představu jaký rozdíl dělá ten lehčí satelit, když to porovnám s JCSAT-14 (4700kg), tak má druhý stupeň podle rychlé kalkulace o celých 640 m/s delta V navíc, což je opravdu veliká rezerva. Na druhou stranu ale Thaicom 8 poletí na supersynchronní dráhu (apogeum okolo 80 000 km), takže té rychlosti bude potřebovat trochu víc než JCSAT-14, který měl apogeum zhruba na GEO dráze.
EDIT: tak podle rychlé kalkulace by ten posun na supersynchorní dráhu měl znamenat cca dalších 345 m/s, takže rezerva oproti JCSAT-14 bude okolo 300 m/s, což je pořád dost slušné.

ELSBETH III (a tedy nejspíš i OCISLY) před čtyřmi hodinami opustila Port Canaveral.

Do půl páté ráno našeho času by měl být hotový zážehový test. Co jsem ale slyšel, tak F9-025 ještě není vertikální.

Statický zážeh byl o den posunut, ale startovní datum zůstává stejné.

Počasí na start 26.5. zatím 90% GO. V případě odkladu na 27.5. je to mírně horší - 70% GO
